Last updated: 28 September 2025
This page explains how we source, license, and credit images on 360DigitalTrends, including stock photos, original photography, screenshots, and AI-generated visuals.
How we source images
We use a mix of: (i) original photography and custom graphics, (ii) licensed stock photography/illustrations, (iii) press kits and vendor assets under permitted terms, and (iv) screenshots for news, reviews, or product documentation (fair use/editorial context).
Licenses we use
We rely on standard licenses from reputable stock providers (royalty-free), Creative Commons where appropriate (e.g., CC BY/CC0), and vendor press materials permitted for editorial use. Unless explicitly stated, images are for illustrative/editorial use only and do not imply endorsement.
Attribution (how credits appear)
We add credits near the image or in a credits section. Typical formats:
- Stock (royalty-free): “Image: Provider / Contributor Name”
- CC BY: “Image: Author Name (CC BY 4.0)”
- CC0 / Public Domain: “Image: Public Domain / CC0”
- Vendor press kit: “Image: Company Name (press assets)”
- Screenshot: “Screenshot: Product/Service Name”
Modifications & composites
We may crop, resize, color-correct, overlay UI, or create composites. Credits indicate the base source; additional design work is by 360DigitalTrends unless otherwise noted. EXIF may be removed for privacy/performance.
AI-generated images (labeling)
Where AI tools assist or generate visuals, we label them clearly (“AI-generated”). We do not use AI to impersonate real people or fabricate first-hand events. See our AI Use Policy.
Model & property releases
Stock photos with recognizable people or private property are used under licenses that include appropriate releases provided by the stock agency. Editorial-use images may depict brands or people in a news/review context without implying endorsement.
Prohibited uses (by third parties)
Unless otherwise stated, our images and custom graphics may not be copied, redistributed, or used commercially without permission. Do not remove watermarks, alter credits, or use our visuals to imply endorsement. For reuse requests, contact us.
Request a credit change or removal
If you believe an image is misattributed, used outside license terms, or you’d like a credit updated, tell us and we’ll review promptly. Include the page URL, a link/screenshot of the image, and the correct attribution/source if available.
Takedowns & copyright
For copyright concerns or DMCA takedown requests, see our DMCA & Copyright Policy. We aim to acknowledge valid notices quickly and resolve issues in good faith.
Screenshots (fair use)
We use screenshots to illustrate interfaces and features for commentary, critique, or news. Logos and UI remain trademarks of their respective owners. If a screenshot raises confidentiality or security concerns, contact us and we’ll review.
