Sponsorship Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2025
Sponsorships help fund independent journalism on 360DigitalTrends. This policy explains how sponsor relationships work, how they are labeled, and how we protect editorial independence.
Definitions
Sponsorship: Financial or in-kind support of content, a section, a newsletter, or an event.
Partner Content / Branded Content: Content produced in collaboration with a sponsor and clearly labeled.
Editorial Content: Independently reported and produced by our editorial team without sponsor control.
Labeling & Disclosure
All sponsored or partner content is clearly labeled (e.g., “Sponsored”, “Partner Content”, or “Presented by <Brand>”). Disclosures appear at the top of the page and near any calls-to-action. If affiliate links are included, we disclose them within the page and in our Affiliate Disclosure. Paid or affiliate links use appropriate attributes (e.g., rel=”sponsored” or rel=”nofollow”).
Editorial Independence
Sponsors do not influence what we cover, how we test, scores, or verdicts. Editorial has final approval over headlines, framing, and conclusions. Draft editorial content is not shared with sponsors for approval. See also our Editorial Guidelines and Review & Testing Methodology.
Sponsor Vetting
We review sponsors for brand suitability. We do not accept sponsorships from illegal products, hate or extremist content, malware/spyware, adult content, or misleading financial/health schemes.
Deliverables & Approvals
For partner or branded content, we agree on a brief (topic, goals, deliverables, timelines). Sponsors may review for factual accuracy and brand safety only; editorial decisions remain ours. Any material requests that compromise accuracy, fairness, or user interest are declined.
Conflicts of Interest
Team members must disclose personal or financial ties related to a sponsorship. Editors may reassign work to avoid conflicts. See our Ethics Policy.
Data & Privacy
Measurement for sponsored campaigns may use cookies or identifiers (e.g., reach, engagement, conversions). Users can manage non-essential cookies in Cookie Preferences. For data handling and consent, see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Measurement & Reporting
We provide transparent performance reports (e.g., impressions, clicks, reads, view-through window if applicable). We do not share personal data; results are aggregated or anonymized.
No Endorsement
Sponsorship does not equal endorsement. We do not guarantee positive coverage or outcomes.
Complaints & Corrections
If you believe a sponsored piece is inaccurate or insufficiently labeled, tell us. We correct material errors promptly and log visible notes. See our Corrections Policy or contact us via Contact.
